With eight acres of beautiful vineyards and perfectly manicured lawns, the Groverdale Winery & Vineyard is definitely a MUST SEE for everyone traveling through the mountains of Pennsylvania. And if you are passing by with an RV, Groverdale is also a boondocker’s paradise… complete with a wine tasting room and a couple of historic buildings and barns that go back to the 1800s.

We arrived late yesterday evening but morning we had a chance to visit the owners, Jeff and Kim, and what a dynamic, friendly and delightful couple they are! Our plan was to stick around for just a night on our way north to a nearby park with a golf course, but after seeing this beautiful place we decided to stick around, to sample their wines and sit around the fire to listen to the live musing they are having today.

With a golf course 10 minutes away and the Susquehanna river just around the corner, I am sure we’ll get to use our clubs and our kayak, and find plenty of other things to do while we meet the wonderful people of Wyalusing and sample their specialty wines: Riesling and Minnesota French hybrid varieties. We are definitely coming back!
